The Marshall County Election Board members reviewed absentee, or early voting, numbers so far in the Municipal General Election in a meeting Tuesday morning.
As of Monday, Oct. 28, there were 173 walk-in voters, 57 Travel Board ballots, and 24 voters went to the Culver Depot for early voting on Saturday.
Clerk Deb VanDeMark commented that the Travel Board will be busy collecting more votes this week.
Sixty-seven voters asked for an absentee ballot by mail. Thirty-five of those are still outstanding to be recorded as received by the clerk’s office.
Voters will have more opportunities to vote early this week. Early voting is open today through Friday at the Marshall County Clerk’s Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Monday, Nov. 4 from 8 a.m. to noon. Voters may also cast an early ballot at the Culver Depot and the clerk’s office on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Absentee ballots will be counted on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5.
