Culver students toured several manufacturers on Tuesday as a way to gain interest in careers in the field of industry.
Officials from the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation are helping to build connections with youth to create a future employee base. Manufacturing Day is a way to bridge that gap.
About 70 students from Culver Community Middle/High School toured Pretzels Inc. in Plymouth, and ITAMCO, and Mobile Tech Trailers in Argos to see a wide variety of manufacturers in Marshall County.
Culver Middle/High School Principal Brett Berndt said in a press release that not every student will attend college so Manufacturing Day is a way to “connect with our local employers to enhance the possibility of employment after high school.”
