Plymouth Woman Sentenced to 12 Years for Dealing in a Narcotic Drug

A Plymouth woman has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to dealing in a narcotic drug. Jessica Jelinek, 31, admitted to supplying Roxicodone to Fabian Pioro last December, according to Marshall County Prosecutor Nelson Chipman. Chipman says a third person at that transaction, Brandon Wojcik, 27, ended up dying of an overdose, but Jelinek was not charged with delivering the drugs that caused his death.

The reason for that, according to Chipman, stemmed from the scientific evidence of the cause of death and the support of Wojcik’s family. Jelinek’s age and that fact that she has a child were also factors. While 12 years is the maximum allowable sentence for a Level 4 felony, Chipman says a Level 1 charge of dealing a narcotic resulting in death would carry a sentence of 20 to 40 years.

Chipman says that during her prison term, Jelinek will take part in the Department of Correction’s Recovery While Incarcerated program, which is aimed at breaking the cycle of addiction.
