The Plymouth Board of Works and Safety members approved a bid this week for the fall street and sidewalks projects.
Three bids were opened during the board’s Sept. 9 meeting. The lowest bid came from Rieth Riley in the amount of $467,814.
City Engineer Rick Gaul mentioned that there was an issue with funding. The bid could be approved contingent upon approval by the city council and the Department of Local Government Finance. The board members voted unanimously to approve the lowest bid with the contingency note.
The paving projects include Williams from South Michigan to Liberty Streets, Third Street from Lake to Jefferson Street and Washington Street from Third Street to Plum Street. Overlay projects in the park include Chuck Glaub and Becknell Drive. The horse barn entrances will also be paved.
