Marshall County Election Board Reminds Voters of Important Dates for Election

The Marshall County Election Board members reviewed some important dates for voters to remember for the November Municipal General Election.

Absentee ballots will be going out in the mail on Saturday, Sept. 21.  Anyone wanting to request an absentee ballot can contact 574-935-8713.  The public test for voting machines is set for Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9 a.m.  Voter registration ends Oct. 7.

The first day to vote absentee is Oct. 8 while the travel board will collect votes beginning Oct. 16.  Voting on Election Day will be Nov. 5 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Vote Centers will be open on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Matchett Center in Bourbon, National Guard Armory in Plymouth, Knights of Columbus in Plymouth, Lapaz Fire Station, and the Culver Depot.

One satellite location will be open for absentee voting on the two Saturdays prior to the election, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, at the Culver Depot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Absentee voting is also available on those dates at the Marshall County Clerk’s Office from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In the clerk’s office, absentee voting will begin Oct. 8 and will run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The last opportunity to vote absentee will be Monday, Nov. 4 from 8 a.m. to noon.
