County Building Commissioner Chuck Dewitt and Argos officials recently discussed a town-owned property located at 194 South Michigan Street.
The possibility of potential renovations at that property, referred to as the B&R Building, was covered during the council’s first meeting of the month.
Council members cast a unanimous vote to allow DeWitt to check into how structurally sound the building is. He was also permitted to bring in some contractors to take a look at it so a few different cost estimates can be obtained.
Clerk-Treasuer Lisa Mullaney noted that the building formerly housed the Police Station and was at one time a car dealership. Currently, Real Services Nutrition, the organization that runs the local Meals on Wheels initiative, occupies the space.
