The Culver School Board handled a few different bookkeeping matters when members met last week.
According to Superintendent Karen Shuman, school board members provided their approval for an adjustment to be made to the Elementary School’s Extra Curricular Activities Account at the First National Bank of Monterey.
She explained, “Our current Elementary Secretary is retiring after many years of service and so we’re changing that position to also incorporate the responsibilities of ECA so it reduces the number of people that need to be on the bank account.”
The board members also took care of a number of outstanding checks when they met last Monday. Shuman noted that it is standard practice to hold a check for 2 years and if it remains un-cashed, then officials are permitted to clear it from the books.
