Argos School Board Holds Hearing Related to Collective Bargaining Process

The Argos School Board held a hearing as a part of the teachers’ collective bargaining process when members met Monday night.

Superintendent Ned Speicher said this week’s hearing was an opportunity for the board and community members to comment on the draft contract that’s been created.

He explained, “We have a tentative agreement with the teachers’ association so this was sharing those details in a public meeting, then we publish again and post it on our website and then it has go another 72 hours and then schedule another meeting to actually ratify it”

No public comments were reported.

Speicher noted that a special meeting for the teacher contract ratification has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 24th at 5:30 p.m. in the Dragon Center Conference Room.
