The Argos EMS Department is still seeking additional Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), especially individuals who would be able to cover daytime shifts.

Formerly a volunteer position, EMTs in Argos are now considered part-time employees and can make $10-12 per hour, depending on the amount of experience they have.

The Department is even offering to help people obtain their EMT certification. Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney noted that it takes about four months to obtain the necessary qualifications.
