Plymouth BOW, City Council to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will consider speed limit change and speed limit sign requests when they meet tonight. 

The speed limit change is proposed from Potter to Alexander Street while speed limit signs are requested from Xaver to Jim Nelson Drive.  A request to repair a pothole in the alley of Webster Avenue will also be considered.

HIS Small Wonders officials are looking to renew their lease agreement for use of the Old Fire Station.  Other topics of discussion include phone bill charges and funding for Central Dispatch for 2020.  City Engineer Rick Gaul will have several requests for work in the right-of-way for review and approval, plus other information.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will meet at 6 p.m. followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting. 

The Plymouth City Council members will consider the second and third readings of an ordinance that fixes the salaries of appointed officers and employees, fire, and police personnel for 2020.  They will also consider a resolution regarding Airport Manager Bill Sheley’s employment with AlphaFlight, LLC.  AlphaFlight, LLC will begin a flight course at the airport this fall. 

Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers room on the second floor of the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street.  Those attending the meeting should use the Garro Street entrance.
