Marshall County K9 Helps Uncover Narcotics, Plymouth Man Allegedly Attempts to Flee

A Plymouth man was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail after allegedly attempting to flee on foot during a Wednesday traffic stop.

At 1:15 a.m. on August 7th, Plymouth Police Officer Jerrid Arnold conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of North Michigan Street and Baker Street.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Andrew Wozniak arrived on the scene and deployed his K9 partner ‘Irok’ on the vehicle. The K9 reportedly alerted to the odor of narcotics.

The driver, 38-year-old Adam Morgan, was removed from the vehicle during the investigation, according to the police report. As PPD Officer Arnold was speaking with Morgan, he allegedly fled on foot.

Morgan was taken into custody and arrested for resisting law enforcement, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
