UPDATE: Due to anticipated inclement weather, the work scheduled to start today (Monday, August 8th) has been delayed a day.
Road, bridge and railroad crossing work will cause travel disruptions for commuters beginning today.
Indiana Department of Transportation officials say the railroad crossing will be rebuilt at State Road 10 from Oak to Nutmeg between Culver and U.S. 31. Representatives from Norfolk Southern Railroad anticipate the crossing to open on Sunday, Aug. 18.
Meanwhile, the State Road 331 bridge over U.S. 30 in Bourbon will be closed through the end of November for a deck overlay project. During the project, one lane of traffic will be controlled with a temporary signal.
Additionally, work on State Road 110 will close in sections for chip seal work. Today it will affect a stretch between State Road 17 and State Road 117, and tomorrow between State Road 117 and U.S. 31. On Wednesday, it will affect travel from U.S. 31 to State Road 25. On Thursday, the process of fog sealing will take place on State Road 110 from State Road 17 and U.S. 31 and on Friday from U.S. 31 and State Road 25. Weather permitting, all of State Road 110 will reopen by the evening hours on Friday, Aug. 16.
