‘Friends of Public Education’ to Walk in Blueberry Festival Parade

A show of support for public education is being planned for Labor Day.

A group calling itself the “Friends of Public Education” will be walking in this year’s Blueberry Festival Parade, according to Plymouth School Superintendent Andy Hartley.

“There’s some community partners that are joining with teachers from Plymouth, and, I believe, other Marshall County schools, and . . . we appreciate the efforts to just bring greater awareness and support for our public schools,” Hartley told the school board last week.

He also invited interested board members to take part.
