The Culver Community Schools Corporation is seeing some positive indicators when it comes to enrollment. “I can tell you right now, we just added a third section of pre-K a week ago, and it’s already full,” Superintendent Karen Shuman told the school board during Monday’s work session on the corporation’s referendum money.
Elementary School Principal Erin Proskey noted that another section of first grade had to be added, as well. Culver Elementary School began offering pre-K a year ago, and enrollment in the other lower grade levels has seen a bit of a rebound in recent years. Shuman pointed out the need to account for potential enrollment growth when budgeting the referendum revenues.
