Bourbon Town Council Considers Tree Removal Quotes

The Bourbon Town Council considered quotes for tree removal when members met Tuesday night.

Street Superintendent Roger Terry presented the council with information about what it would take to remove some trees in town.

Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger explained that $5,000 is budgeted for this purpose so officials were required to take a look at the trees and prioritize the ones that needed to be removed the most.

She said they selected three that are in the Town’s right-of-way that seemed like they would be the most dangerous if a storm or something of that nature occurred.

The council voted to go with the company Cox Wood Removal and the cost to remove the three trees will be $4,880.
