A person suspected of participating in burglary incidents at the Bourbon Liquor Store and the Bourbon Country Church on Sunday, Aug. 18 is being sought by the Bourbon Police Department.
Bourbon police officers say the male suspect fled from a stolen vehicle during a pursuit from the liquor store on Lincoln Highway. The vehicle came to a quick stop after police attempted a traffic stop and that’s when the passenger of the vehicle allegedly fled on foot. The driver, Laydon Butler Umanos of Fort Wayne, was later captured after driving over stop sticks and crashing the vehicle. Stolen items were reportedly found inside the vehicle. Umanos was later booked in the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of burglary, resisting arrest, auto theft, and criminal recklessness.
