Argos Town Council members passed a resolution related to Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Community initiative when they met for their first meeting of the month.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney, the resolution indicated that the Town of Argos would contribute a total of $418,000 over the next four years for projects if the Stellar designation is received.
As a reminder, Argos is a part of the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Initiative which also includes Bremen, Bourbon, Culver, Plymouth and the County itself.
Marshall County Crossroads is one of four finalist regions. Next month, those finalists will submit a Regional Development Plan to program officials and then provide a presentation in November.
The announcement of the Regional Stellar Communities Designee for this year is anticipated to occur in December. The winning region will receive millions of dollars in grant funding from various agencies and the remaining three regions will split $1 million to tackle a project.
