Applications Now Available for 2020 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Marshall County high school seniors have a couple weeks to apply for a full college scholarship. Applications for the 2020 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship are due to the Marshall County Community Foundation by Monday, September 9.

It’s a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to an accredited public or private nonprofit college or university in Indiana. Applicants should have a minimum SAT score of 1200 or a minimum ACT score of 26 and be in the top 10 of their graduating class, among other requirements. The winner will be selected by the Marshall County Community Foundation’s Lilly Endowment Scholarship Committee.

The primary goals of the scholarship program are to help raise Indiana’s level of educational attainment, increase awareness of the state’s community foundations, and encourage current and past Lilly Scholars to improve the quality of life in Indiana communities. The community foundation says 38 Marshall County students have benefited from the program since 1998.

Applications for the 2020 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship are available on the Marshall County Community Foundation’s website or by contacting a high school guidance counselor.
