Two Arrested after Report of People Going through Vehicles in Plymouth

A report of people going through vehicles led to a pair of arrests early Saturday morning. Plymouth Police say they were called to the 1500 block of Kenwood Avenue just before 12:40.

When they got there, officers say they saw two men walking west on Kenwood, but when they tried to talk to them, one of them fled on foot. He was eventually tazered and apprehended, according to officers. Police say it turned out the man was carrying a handgun without a license.

Nickolas P. Parker, 19, of Merrillville, was arrested on suspicion of resisting law enforcement and carrying a handgun without a license. Andrew D. Mendoza, 18, of Bourbon was arrested on suspicion of possession of under 30 grams of marijuana.
