Suspect Apprehended Following Report of Armed Robbery, Vehicle Theft in LifePlex Parking Lot

Plymouth Police are reporting an armed robbery and theft of a vehicle in the LifePlex parking lot Wednesday afternoon. Officers were called to the scene just before 3:30.

The victim reportedly told police that a black male approached him in the parking lot, displayed a weapon, and stole his vehicle. Officers say the suspect was apprehended a short time later in Whitley County, but details about the apprehension or the suspect’s identity aren’t available yet.

However, the investigation appears to have led to the discovery of another stolen vehicle. While they were investigating, Plymouth Police say they recovered an abandoned vehicle with a flat tire on U.S. 30 just east of Pioneer Drive. Officers learned it had been reported stolen from Chicago.

Police say the victim in the armed robbery was not injured.
