Plymouth Redevelopment Commission to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members will meet tonight where a public hearing is scheduled concerning the amendment of projects within the U.S. 30/Pine Road Development Plan.  It will include the expansion of the Pretzels, Inc. area and designates Pretzels, Inc. as a designated taxpayer.  If favorable, a resolution on that action will be considered later in the meeting.

The commission members will also review a resolution that would pledge certain tax increment revenues to the payment of economic development revenue bonds of the city.

A discussion concerning the purchase of a new fire truck with TIF funds will resume tonight with Fire Chief Rod Miller.  A resolution commending the efforts done on the South Michigan Road bridge project will be read and updates on all projects in the TIF areas will be given.  Marshall County Economic Development Commission President and CEO Jerry Chavez will have a quarterly report for the commission members.

Tonight’s Plymouth Redevelopment Commission meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers room in the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street.  Those wishing to attend the meeting should use the Garro Street entrance.
