The Bremen Town Council members learned last week that a moving outdoor seating arrangement will be making its way through the downtown area beginning in July.
About $5,000 in leftover HCI grant funds was used to purchase black tables and chairs along with aluminum railing to use in front of different restaurants for outdoor seating this summer season. It will move to different areas so residents can visit a variety of establishments for an outdoor dining experience.
It was also reported that two businesses are benefiting from the town’s façade program so far this year. Businesses can apply for funding to upgrade aspects of the outside of a building. About $12,200 is left in the fund and it is the hope of officials to get in three or four more projects this year.
