Results from a recent survey distributed by the Argos Taskforce were discussed when Town Council members met last week.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney, Councilwoman Suzanne Umbaugh went over the results of a survey that was provided to community members at the Summer Kickoff Festival and the TGIF Argos events.
The survey reportedly showed that residents were most interested in having a grocery store in town. The results also displayed that citizens thought Argos could benefit from having a bakery, a deli, a coffee shop, a pharmacy and an ice cream store.
In addition to covering the survey results, Umbaugh also mentioned that Taskforce members have been discussing the possibility of purchasing a billboard on the highway to promote the Town. However, Clerk-Treasurer Mullaney noted that they’re still in preliminary discussions about it and no decisions have been finalized.
