The Argos Town Council recently approved a letter that will be sent out to various local officials.
Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney noted that the letter will thank the individuals who volunteer their time and effort to serve the Town of Argos on specific boards and commissions.
In addition to showing gratitude, the letter will also remind officials to attend their meetings to ensure that quorums are being met.
Board and commission members are encouraged to call in advance if they will be unable to attend a regularly scheduled meeting. Mullaney explained that this will give officials the ability to avoid holding meetings where there will not be enough members present to take any action.
She mentioned that the letter was initially denied at the first meeting of the month but received approval when members met last Wednesday.
