

Two Tennessee residents were arrested early Thursday after a traffic stop on U.S 31 near 16th Road in Argos.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, officers pulled over a white 2019 Mercedes SUV for speeding. During a subsequent investigation, officers reportedly located several items believed to be marijuana, marijuana wax, drug paraphernalia, Adderall, marijuana edibles, Ecstasy and LSD.
As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Austin Wilson, of Smyrna, Tennessee, was arrested and booked in the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and possession of a schedule I, II, III and IV controlled substance. Backseat passenger, 23-year-old Christian Wells, of La Vergne, Tennessee, was booked in the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and possession of a narcotic drug.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
