Plymouth School Board Considers Transportation Services MOU

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding transportation services was considered by the Plymouth School Board on Tuesday.

According to Superintendent Andy Hartley, the school has been offering their bus transportation to the City and the parks department for several years.

He said up until now, there hasn’t been anything official so they felt that it was time to formalize the agreement in the form of an MOU.

School Board President Todd Samuelson asked if the creation of the document was driven by a misunderstanding or if there was just a desire to have something writing to avoid any confusion in the future.

Hartley said it was a combination of the two. He explained that there was some delayed billing and miscommunication so school officials felt this would provide clarity about what’s expected.

The school board approved the document unanimously.

Superintendent Hartley noted that it will be sent to the Plymouth City Council for their consideration before it goes into effect.

Once approved by both entities, it will include Hartley’s signature as well as the signature of Park Superintendent Mike Hite.
