Most of the communities in Marshall County approved funds for the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Communities Initiative in the last two months. The Plymouth City Council members included the city’s contribution in discussions last week.
City Attorney Sean Surrisi explained that the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety approved a $5,000 payment from last year and the city approved $5,000 for this year’s effort. The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission approved a $17,000 contribution for contracts with the Big Idea Company and The Troyer Group for assistance with the Regional Development Plan and the Quality of Life plan to be included in this year’s presentation.
Surrisi asked for the council’s approval of an intergovernmental agreement with the county for the funding agreement. It outlines what the city is responsible for when it comes to Stellar funds. The council members unanimously approved the agreement.
