The Plymouth City Council members considered action this week on a resolution that would create a Tax Increment Financing allocation area in the TIF #2 District.
City Attorney Sean Surrisi said the resolution confirms the goals of the plan commission’s comprehensive plan in the economic development plan for the U.S. 30/Pine Road TIF area.
“Their resolution set forth several places within the comprehensive plan where it talks about supporting business development, using TIF as an incentive, and supporting entrepreneurial efforts. All of those were outlined with citations to the comprehensive plan and the resolution that was attached to this resolution.
The resolution would recognize Pretzels, Inc. as a designated taxpayer.
The council members approved the resolution with a unanimous vote.
