Two companies looking to expand operations sought approval from the Plymouth City Council members in a step in the tax abatement process.
The first request was from Vigilant Holdings, LLC. The company produces Harrington Noodles in German Township in the Bremen area, but the company plans to expand to Plymouth in a 6,000 square foot building across from Pretzels, Inc. Right now, four employees work at the company where everything is done by hand. With the expansion, machines will help in the process. It is about a $600,000 capital investment.
The second request came from Hoosier Racing Tire Corporation who is expanding in the two-wheel racing industry and civilian market, producing one of the best selling new products in many, many years and the fastest Motocross tire in the market. A substantial expansion is needed to keep up with the demand with a $3 million capital investment.
The Plymouth City Council members approved both resolutions granting requests to create each real estate property as an Economic Revitalization Area. The next step is a public hearing and then action will be taken on another resolution in the tax abatement process.
