The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will be looking at the city’s trash and recycling program tonight with the city’s current vendor for those services.
The board will also review House Bill 1266 concerning documents for review time limitations, in addition to a burn request and a request to use the water tower lot.
Department heads will give updates on various projects when the board meets at 6 p.m., followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m.
The Plymouth City Council will hold public hearings for the REES Theatre for the Performing Arts Community Event Center, plus Indiana Wheel Company and Culver Tool and Engineering, Inc. who are seeking approval for tax abatement. If favorable, the council will consider resolutions later in the meeting to move forward in the tax abatement process.
An ordinance that would amend the code of ordinances for the city will be considered on additional readings. An ordinance that would fix the salaries for appointed officers and employees, fire and police personnel for 2020 will be considered on additional readings, and an ordinance that authorizes the issuance of taxable economic development revenue bonds for Pretzels, Inc. and the use of the proceeds to support the company will be considered on additional readings.
Shannon McLeod from Priority Project Resources will present several documents pertaining to the Community Development Block Grant being sought by the REES Theatre officials.
Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers on the second floor of the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street. Those attending the meeting should enter the building through the Garro Street entrance.
