Plymouth BOW, City Council to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members plan to consider a Memorandum of Understanding between the city and the Plymouth Community School Corporation concerning a school resource officer when they meet tonight.

The Plymouth Community School Board approved a similar document during their meeting last week that deals with compensation of the officers assigned to the school as a resource officer.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members also plan to hear updates from several department heads when their meeting begins at 6 p.m. tonight.

The Plymouth City Council members will meet at 6:30 p.m. where two public hearings are scheduled.  A public hearing will be held concerning two tax abatement requests by Hoosier Racing Tire, Corp. and Vigilant Holdings, LLC.  Resolutions pertaining to those public hearings will later be discussed by council members for consideration.

The city council members will also review ordinances that would adopt an amendment to the personnel policy on first reading, authorize the issuance of taxable economic development revenue bonds to support the Pretzels, Inc. project on first reading, and an ordinance that fixes the salaries of appointed officers and employees, fire and police personnel for 2020.

Resolutions that would declare certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area will be considered for Culver Tool and Engineering, Inc. and Indiana Wheel Company Real Estate, LLC.

Both the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety and the Plymouth City Council members will meet in the second floor Council Chambers room in the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth.  Those planning to attend should use the Garro Street entrance.
