The Plymouth High School student who was involved in an automobile accident on an Ohio Turnpike last month passed away this afternoon.
Plymouth Community School Corporation Superintendent Andy Hartley recently explained that 15-year-old Erik Nuñez passed away from the injuries he sustained in the accident that claimed the life of his parents, Simone Nunez and Refugio Nuñez-Peña.
Superintendent Hartley noted that this tragedy impacts many students, families and staff. Counseling services will be available today in the band room at the Plymouth High School beginning at 5 p.m. ET.
Hartley shared the news in a post on the school corporation’s social media account. He also extended thoughts and prayers to the family.
