John Glenn School Superintendent Attends Last School Board Meeting

Richard Reese

John Glenn School Superintendent Richard Reese took time Tuesday night to reflect on his time at the school corporation as he sets to enter into retirement.

“I just want to say thank you to the current school board and previous school boards,” said Reese.  I’ve been very fortunate to work with great school boards who I firmly believe have the best interest of kids at heart.”

Reese talked about the great staff members during his tenure at John Glenn and the focus on quality of education to assist students and keeping them first in the process no matter the cause.

Several school board members thanked Reese for his years of service at the school corporation and supporting students throughout his career.  They spoke of longevity, integrity and honor serving with Reese as leaders of the corporation.

Reese graduated from the John Glenn School Corporation in 1973 and later returned where he was a middle school Social Studies teacher for seven years, and spent one year as assistant principal, 20 years as a middle school principal, and 14 years as superintendent.

Reese’s last day is June 30.
