The first day of the first session of summer school for John Glenn students began Monday, June 3.
Superintendent Richard Reese said there are about 100 students at high school in summer school and in credit recovery courses while 150 students are in classes at the elementary school.
He said Transportation Director Marie Fansler worked to get all of the students in for summer school. Several students were added at the last minute at the high school as notification was sent out concerning failing grades and the recommendation to attend summer school classes for credit recovery purposes.
The second summer school session begins July 8 and goes through July 30.
