The John Glenn School Board members discussed the number of transfer student requests so far this coming school year.
So far, 446 students have been approved to be included at John Glenn for 2019-2020 school year.
Superintendent Richard Reese commented that at this time last year the transfer count was under 400. Reese said another 20 or 30 students could be added to the roster by the time school starts in August.
“That’s great for dollars-per-pupil for the situation, but it also creates other issues as far as class size and building situations in regard to making sure we have enough classrooms for everybody. However, we should be in good shape,” said Reese.
The four transfer requests for approval during this week’s meeting were accepted with a unanimous vote along with other instructor, teacher, and coaching transfers.
