Textbook fees for most John Glenn School Corporation students will go up next school year.
Full-day kindergarten students will see an increase of $8.00 while textbooks for second and third grade students will increase $20. The textbook fee will jump $30 for fourth and fifth grade students and nearly $30 for sixth grade students.
Fees for seventh and eighth grade students could range between $124.75 and $160.75, depending on what classes are taken.
Sophomore students will also see an increase of about $14.
First, ninth, eleventh and twelfth grade students will see a decrease in prices. The steepest decline is for senior students of about $60. Those prices don’t include any specialty classes students may take.
Business Manager Tom Bendy said the drop in price has to do with the price of the new Chromebook devices.
The John Glenn School Board members approved the textbook rental fees as they were presented during their meeting last week.
