Marshall County EMA Director Clyde Avery has not received word of any confirmed tornadoes in the Marshall County area from Sunday night’s storms.
He stated that there were several reports of funnel clouds and possible tornadoes, but nothing has been confirmed from the National Weather Service.
Avery said there was damage reported in the area of U.S. 6 and Queen Road where several trees were destroyed which caused them to fall on power lines. He said one residence sustained damage to the front porch.
He noted that no watches or warnings were issued for Marshall County by the National Weather Service at the time of the storm.
As for today (Monday), the area remains under a slight risk for scattered, severe thunderstorms today and into tonight. The primary threats include damaging winds, heavy rain, large hail, and the possibility of an isolated tornado.
