Members of the public have the chance to weigh in on a proposed contract for Culver Community Schools Superintendent Karen Shuman tonight. It would extend her employment through June of 2022.
The proposal calls for an annual salary of $106,200, plus a $3,000 stipend for travel expenses and, during her first four years of service at the corporation, a $7,434 annuity. Shuman would also get 13 paid holidays, 20 vacation days, five personal days, and 12 sick days per year.
Tonight’s public hearing on the superintendent’s contract starts at 7:00 EDT at the Culver Schools Administration Office. After hearing comments tonight, the school board is expected to vote on the contract on June 17.
Shuman has served as the Culver Community Schools Corporation’s superintendent since July of 2017.
