Bremen Town Council Approves Cemetery Ordinance Amendment

An amendment to the cemetery ordinance was presented to the Bremen Town Council members last week.

Clerk-Treasurer Janet Anglemyer, who is a Cemetery Board member, said the amendment requires that two adjacent graves be purchased in order to inter an urn, with no more than four niches.  The columbarium must be centered on the two graves.

Anglemyer asked that the council consider it to be an emergency and pass the ordinance amendment on all three readings.  The council members suspended the rules and passed the ordinance amendment on all three readings.
