The Bremen Street Department will be getting a new leaf machine.
Street Department Superintendent Alex Mikel told the Bremen Town Council members last week that he received permission from the Bremen Redevelopment Commission members to purchase a pull-behind leaf machine for up to $40,000.
Mikel said he received two quotes from Brown Equipment for two different types of machines and one quote from Best Equipment. The lowest quote came from Best Equipment in the amount of $37,750.
While the Bremen Redevelopment Commission members are paying for the equipment, the Bremen Town Council members had to approve the purchase. They approved the lowest quote with a unanimous vote.
