Bourbon Town Council Reviews Firework Ordinance

The firework ordinance for the Town of Bourbon was reviewed by officials during this month’s Town Council meeting.

According to Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger, there is a fireworks ordinance on the books but officials at the police department reportedly felt some clarifying language should be added to assist with enforcement efforts.

Berger noted that the specific times they’re allowed will be more clearly laid out. She added that there are some state-regulated rules that pertain to the Independence Day season and New Years that will also be added.

The amended ordinance will be up for council approval when members meet next on Tuesday, July 9th.
