The Walkerton Chamber of Commerce recently named the winner of this year’s Legacy Award.
This year’s recipient is John Glenn School Superintendent Richard Reese. John Glenn Recording Secretary Lisa Sleek said during the school’s last meeting, School Board President Dennis Holland announced that Reese was chosen during the Chamber’s annual meeting this month.
Reese is retiring from education after 42 years at the end of June. For the past 14 years he’s served as the superintendent at John Glenn School Corporation. Prior to his work as superintendent, he held the position of middle school principal, as well as assistant principal, and a Social Studies teacher. He’s also supportive of community events.
