Original: An accident that reportedly occurred on Beech Road and U.S. 30 has resulted in a traffic standstill.
The crash allegedly occurred between a car and a tanker truck. At least one of the individuals involved was injured enough to require MedFlight to be called to the scene initially. The current condition of the vehicles’ occupants has not been officially released.
There has been no time estimate provided regarding when U.S. 30 will be reopened as scene reconstruction must take place.
Marshall County Central Dispatch officials were contacted and said no additional details could be provided at this time. More information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
Update: At approximately 6 p.m. Marshall County Coroner John Grolich indicated that a fatality had occurred from the accident.
He noted that while he is not currently at the location, a deputy coroner is at the scene. Grolich indicated that further coordination will be made once more information comes to light.
