Officials with Alpha Flight accepted 32 students to take part in the first Alpha Flight classes at the Plymouth Municipal Airport this August.
Airport Manager Bill Sheley told the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members Wednesday night that they finalized the acceptance list for the Alpha Flight program following an open house this week.
Students from the 6 out of the 10 schools in the CTE co-op enrolled in the course. Sheley noted that one student from Bremen enrolled and received approval from the Bremen Public School Board to attend the classes.
Alpha Flight classes begin Aug. 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Alpha Flight co-owners, pilots Dan Marohn and Ken Norris, will teach the aeronautics course. They have immense knowledge about aeronautics and plan to provide one of the most prestigious aviation training courses in the region.
