Rochester Man Sentenced After Pleading Guilty to Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm

A Rochester man has been sentenced to more than six years in prison, after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to U.S. Attorney Thomas Kirsch. Kirsch says Travis Norman, 30, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to 77 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

Court documents say Norman had recently been convicted of dealing methamphetamine in Marshall County, when, on October 4, Rochester Police found him in a hotel room, along with seven grams of meth, three grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia, a large amount of cash, and a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun.
