Preparations are being made for the 2019 Fall projects in Plymouth.
City Engineer Rick Gaul presented information to the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members Monday on the proposed plan for street and sidewalk projects.
The main projects are Williams Street from S. Michigan Street to Liberty, Third Street from Lake to Jefferson, and Washington from Third to Plum. New asphalt will be installed as well as ADA compliant sidewalk ramps, curbs and sidewalks in those areas.
Gaul pointed out that the center line on Williams Street will shift slightly to accommodate ADA parking. He also mentioned that there will not be any sidewalk work underneath the railroad tracks on Third Street due to previous work.
Several park projects are in the works as well.
The board members approved the proposed project schedule as presented. Gaul gave a rough estimate of the projects being around $400,000. More figures need to be obtained for a closer cost projection.
