The newly installed LaPorte Street Footbridge in Plymouth recently underwent inspection.
Plymouth City Engineer Rick Gaul told the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members Monday night the railings need a bit of attention but everything else was pretty firm. There was a spot that was a little low in the grade for the trail, but Gaul said everything else passed without problems.
Seeding will need to be done, but officials will look into that after reviewing the high water situation experienced in recent weeks.
Gaul noted that there is a speed limit posted by the footbridge. INDOT posted a 12 mph sign there to warn people of the curve in the design.
