Road work season in Marshall County is about ready to hit high gear.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said crews are planning to start the reclaiming process of a few county roads in the next few weeks. The reclaiming process involves reverting a road to a gravel status with a new double chip seal surface. Surfacing won’t begin until mid-June.
Seven roads will be reclaimed this spring. They include 1C from Union to Thorn, Thorn from County Line to State Road 6, 4B from Plymouth-LaPorte to Underwood, 5th from Plymouth-LaPorte to Union, Pine from U.S. 6 to 3rd, Pine north of 13th Road, and 15B from Fir to Elm.
Peters asks motorists to avoid construction areas as much as possible. Road closed signs will be posted.
