Crews working on the new Lincoln Junior High School continue catching up from delays caused by winter weather. Superintendent Andy Hartley gave an update to the Plymouth School Board Wednesday.
“They are still just slightly behind schedule on things from the winter months,” he explained, “but the plan is, over the next couple of months, that they’ll be caught up and they’ll be right on track again.”
He said crews have started the second floor of the academic wing and are working their way toward the middle of the building. “There’s a kind of a monumental stairway that’s going to be in the academic wing, and you see that they’ve set the precast on that, as well,” Hartley told board members. “And so that’s going to certainly be stairs to the second story that will lead to the media center and then the second floor of the academic wing, but it’s also a flexible space that can be utilized for larger group presentations and some breakouts for classes and things like that.”
Hartley said crews have also been pouring the slab on grade at the future gym.
