Trucks no longer used by the Bremen Park Department now go to the Bremen Fire Department for training.
After unsuccessfully obtaining bids for two surplus vehicles, Bremen Park Superintendent Brian Main asked the Bremen Town Council if he could allow the fire department to use the trucks for training purposes.
Fire Chief Matt Neher said they would use the trucks for extrication training and then scrap the trucks after they are no longer useful.
The Bremen Town Council members approved the transfer of the vehicles to the fire department. They also gave Neher the authorization to dispose of the vehicles as proposed.
